How did we ever let this sugar epidemic get so out of control?
Because it's everywhere ... hidden in almost all packaged foods. There are so many names for sugar a person would need to be an expert in label reading to see them all. Sugar addiction happens easily when we're consuming it in everything we eat.
By last count, there were over 60 different names for sugar. Here are some of the more common ones:
There are natural sugars too. Fructose is the sugar in fruits and vegetables, lactose is the sugar in milk, and maltose is the sugar found in grains.
Why is it important to know how much sugar we consume?

And we know excessive sugar consumption is responsible for the obesity epidemic that is completely out of control now. Especially in the USA.
Sugar addiction is a major problem now. It's no wonder a large percentage of the population is highly addicted ... and it's literally killing us.
